Штраф, назначенный хоккеисту, который намеренно наносит травму противнику или судье, а также за попытку нанесения такой травмы. Если матч-штраф назначается вратарю, наказание за него отбывает другой игрок. match penalty (MP)
Penalty assessed to hockey players who deliberately injure an opponent, or an official, or attempt to injure them. If the goalkeeper receives a match penalty, another player serves the time. A player who receives a match penalty is ejected: he goes to the penalty box to serve a five minute major penalty during which he may not be substituted for on ice.
